Co-Founder of Gold Bullion International, Dan Tapiero examined the value of Bitcoin (BTC) as a machine of truth.
Dan Tapiero mentioned this during his interview with the digital magazine for the alternative investment industry Alphaweek that was published on September 10, 2019. He mentioned:
“Bitcoin is a lot of things, so what it is is an invention, and I think it should be referred to as an invention rather than all the other things, it’s a truth machine. It’s a way to eradicate all fraud or lying by human beings. The whole bigger concept of certainty, of confirmation, of validity, of security.”
Bitcoin (BTC) is just a reward for network security.
Dan Tapiero also said that what you are buying now is a 10-year-old system with a tremendous track record which made him think what is its worth? What is the value of a security platform like that? In the end, he said:
Bitcoin really is just the reward that miners get for guaranteeing the security of the framework, of the network, that’s what it is.

What is Bitcoin (BTC) really worth?
Tapiero also said that if you think about it, what would it cost for a company to build a system like that. He thinks that if it is owned by one person, it’s hundreds of billions of dollars, talking about all the work hours that it would have taken, and all the time spent by people who volunteered just to create and develop Bitcoin and to maintain such a system. He even asked whether a company could develop such a thing, and suggested that Satoshi realized that it can only be developed over a long period, in a decentralized way.
