There are 234 companies in Singapore’s blockchain landscape.
A collection of organizations teamed up to produce a “map” of what the blockchain landscape looks like in Singapore, and it’s a lot bigger in 2020 than it would’ve been in 2019.
Supported by a Singaporean governmental agency called the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), this map is mostly a collection of company logos organized by specific business sector. The categories here range from corporate services to smart cities to protocol and infrastructure and beyond.
A notable addition for 2020 is decentralized finance (DeFi), a sector that seems to be gaining global momentum as Temasek recently became the first Asian entity to partner with the Libra Association. Global recruiting for jobs requiring blockchain skills is also up.
In total there are 234 entities represented across 26 categories on the 2020 map. That’s 91 more companies represented now versus last year, indicating growth above 50%.
Here’s a screenshot of what the landscape map looks like. If you’d like to browse it in full size, check out the PDF right here.
